The money contributed to causes consists of sales commissions paid by online merchants. Here are the details:

SpiralFunds leverages a well-known online sales commission structure called the affiliate network. In this type of affiliate network, specialized websites help customers identify and select a product for online purchase. Since the buyer purchases from the merchant, the merchant pays the “affiliate” website a sales commission for directing the customer to them. If a buyer purchases without using an affiliate, the merchant keeps the commission as profit.
